HELP & CONSULTING
Planning, organising, and carrying out a bicycle trip can be a daunting task, with so many things to worry about and an overabundance of choice when it comes to bikes, bags, and equipment. These days I get a great many messages from people all over the world asking for help getting started with their trips, and although I want to help as much as I can and love being able to help inspire people to get out on grand adventures around the world, the volume of messages combined with a fairly busy life means that I no longer have time to reply in detail to most of them.
Many of the most common questions I get asked have answers in one or more of the various articles I've written on this website; you'll find these linked at the bottom of this page so I'd suggest reading through them first to see if they can help.
For those looking for more comprehensive support, I now offer a personal consulting service, providing one-to-one coaching on all aspects of bicycle travel, from getting started, choosing a destination, planning, mapping, and following a route, bike and bag setup, equipment choices, logistical considerations, and help with motivation. I've been cycling around the world for the best part of five years, so I like to think I know what I'm talking about, and I've learned many of my lessons the hard way through painful trial and error. Through my experience, I can help you avoid mistakes, save money by ensuring you buy the right equipment first-time, without wasting funds on the wrong things, and make sure that your trip is fun, exciting, and hassle-free.
I've generally found it best to do this on an hourly basis, speaking over Zoom or your preferred platform. If you're interested in working with me, do get in touch using the email address below. I like to start with an initial informal chat, which will always be free, to discuss your requirements and what you're looking to do, and from there we can come up with a plan that works for you. After the first session, if you genuinely don't feel that my help has been worthwhile, I'll give you your money back. I'm extremely confident in the value I can bring.
